An ultra-Orthodox Jewish man was arrested, charged and convicted by pleading guilty to raping two little boys, according to court proceedings in New City, New York.

The man, who is 32-years-old, from Monsey, New York, will face a sex offender classification hearing next month, after being sentenced Thursday to 10 years probation for sexually abusing the two young children.

The man, **, is appealing the conviction of two felony charges of sexual abuse.
The man originally accepted a no jail sentence plea bargain after the family was pressured by local rabbis and other members of the religious community not to testify, the prosecutor, Patricia Gunning, told the judge at the sentencing in the Rockland County Courthouse in New City.

“The parents of the two children in this case, ages 8 and 9, urged us to recommend that deal,” Gunning said at the sentencing of probation. “This was done to prevent their children from testifying and to relieve the pressure on the family,” the prosecutor added.

The man refused to speak at the sentencing.
The man pleaded guilty two years ago, to two counts of second-degree course of sexual conduct against a child, a felony, and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

He admitted in court that he improperly touched a child of 8-years-old, between May 2010 and July 2011, and a 6 year old, between September 2010 and July 2011.
