This morning, the fire department was called to a Kiryat Motzkin residential apartment, which caught fire. Firefighters arrived at the scene, extinguished the fire and rescued the family dog which was caught up inside.

The dog was in extreme distress after suffering from smoke inhalation. A firefighter at the scene took off his own oxygen breathing mask and gave it to the dog, thereby saving the life of the dog, according to emergency workers at the scene.

The residents of the apartment were not home during the outbreak of the fire, but the family dog was left home alone.
The frightened dog was hiding inside the apartment and was found by firefighters while searching around the house. The dog, a golden retriever, suffered from smoke inhalation and was rescued from the apartment.

The firefighter then removed his own breathing mask and pressed it to the face of the dog. After several minutes of breathing fresh oxygen the dog was rushed to the local municipal veterinarian clinic.
