(Scroll down for video) A husband informed his wife’s lover that his wife is missing, according to police reports in Turkey.
A Turkish man who had sex with a woman from New York, who was found dead in Turkey, told police that he only learned that the woman was missing when he received an online message from her husband.
The awkward exchange came late last month, the day Sarai Sierra was supposed to head home.
A few hours after Steven Sierra learned that his 33-year-old wife was not on the plane, he saw messages on one of her online social media accounts from a man identified as K. Taylan.
Unbeknownst to Steven Sierra, Taylan had allegedly had sex with his wife inside a bar bathroom the night before she went missing.
Taylan said that he had not seen Sarai after the last time they met was on Sunday. He also sent copies of previous chats to the husband.
Steven Sierra asked Taylan to call the police.
Sierra’s battered body was found abandoned near a section of the ancient walls of Istanbul early this month.
Taylan, 34, who met Sierra through Instagram, told her husband the best approach would be for him to communicate first with the U.S. authorities.
The awkward exchange came 11 days before Sierra’s battered body was found abandoned near a section of the ancient walls of Istanbul.
