Three people have died in the helicopter crash early in the morning in an area north of Los Angeles, during the recording of a reality TV show.

Los Angeles County Fire dispatcher Robert Diaz said that the accident occurred about 3:40 am Sunday at the Polsa Rosa Ranch in Action. The ranch has regularly been used as a recording location.

Diaz said that people all on board were killed. The three people aboard the helicopter were not identified.
The circumstances surrounding the accident are still unknown, a spokesperson for the Federal Aviation Administration, Allen Kenitzer, said.

Records show that the helicopter received approval to participate in the recording from the Federal Aviation Administration.
Television images showed the helicopter remains in a steep ravine near Soledad Canyon Road.
