(Scroll down for video) A judge was suspended after he had a sexual relationship with a woman whose child support case he presided over, according to court proceedings in Michigan.
Wayne County Circuit Court Judge, Wade McCree, who was suspended last week without pay, was sued in federal court today.
Robert King sued Geniene LaShay Mott, who is the mother of his son and McCree, accusing them of having a sexual relationship while LaShay Mott and King had a child support case before McCree.
McCree is the controversial judge who was reprimanded for sending shirtless pictures to a court employee last year.
The Michigan Supreme Court suspended McCree without pay last week on the child support case.
The lawsuit accuses LaShay Mott and McCree, of starting their relationship last year after he began handling the case and that the couple had sex in McCree’s chambers.
the lawsuit also said that McCree and LaShay Mott talked about how King could be pressed into making child support payments quickly, including putting King in jail or on an electronic monitor.
Legal experts said that it is a clear conflict of interest for judges to have a relationship with people who are having cases before them.
