A woman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault after running over a restaurant waitress in an attempt to escape from paying her bill, according to police reports in Arizona.

Peoria police confirmed that a woman was arrested for allegedly hitting a waitress in the restaurant parking lot with her car after trying to “eat and run.”

Police said that 24-year-old Nicole Angelina Raia, is being held on suspicion of aggravated assault with a weapon, robbery and drug possession after heroin was found inside her purse.

The International House of Pancakes in Glendale waitress told police that she realized that Raia and her eating partner had a lunch for almost $26 and the bill was not paid.

The waitress went outside and tapped on the car window in an attempt to talk to them.
The waitress then walked behind the car to her Raia’s car plate number when Raia allegedly backed up her car, hitting the woman before fleeing.
