(Scroll down for video) If you think that Apple and iPhone go together think again.
The Brazilian Institute of Industrial Property has ruled that Apple Inc. has no exclusive rights to the iPhone trademark in the country.
According to press reports in Brazil, Apple does not have exclusive rights to the iPhone name for mobile phones, but does have the trademark for other devices. Apple is planning an appeal, according to the report.
Gradient, a Brazilian company, which launched an iPhone with Android in December, has the option of sue Apple for exclusivity, but for now Apple can sell iPhones in the country, according to the report.
So basically now consumers can own an iPhone without paying a huge price for the Apple device.
