(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested and charged after he tattooed a picture of a gun on his teen daughter’s body, according to police in South Carolina.
Victor Shane Scoggins from Richland County, South Carolina, has been charged with negligence for allegedly tattooing a picture of a gun on his 14-year-old daughter.
Police officer Curtis Wilson from the Richland County Sheriff Department, told a television news station that the 40-year-old tattooed a “Browning” symbol and a “daddy’s girl” symbol on the wrist of his daughter. The incident occurred last year, but Scoggins was not arrested until last week, when he surrendered to the Richland County Sheriff Department.
He has been charged with tattooing a minor, neglect of a child and not having a required certificate. Scoggins was jailed at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
According to Wilson, the police were alerted when a witness saw Scoggins’ daughter with tattoos and told someone else about them and that person eventually contacted the Sheriff’s Department of Richland County. Police then questioned the girl about the tattoos.
Police are also investigating whether Scoggins did other tattoos at his home illegally. Scoggins still has custody of his daughter.
