(Scroll down for video) A New York City police officer was arrested and charged after he was caught on video directing child porn, according to court proceedings in New York.

The police sergeant from New York communicated with a woman in a video chat room ordering her to molest a child, court records showed.

Alberto Randazzo appeared in Queens Criminal Court Tuesday as his mother and stepfather were there for support. The sergeant, who has been suspended from the police force, was dressed in a gray button-down shirt.

The sergeant was charged with using a child in a sexual act, promoting sexual performance of a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child. He faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted of the charges.

Randazzo can be heard in one of 11 videos seized by police talking to a woman. She was rubbing against the body of the baby when the police officer started giving orders, according to the criminal complaint.

“Put your hand inside the diaper,” Randazzo said, according to court documents. “Talk dirty to him,” the officer also said.
The evidence was found on his cell phone and on his laptop computer, authorities said. In total, there were 23 images and videos depicting child sex, some of which were only 1 or 2-years-old.

Randazzo was ordered held on $40,000 bail.
