Budweiser was slammed with a lawsuit after some beer lovers claimed that the company is mixing too much water in their beers, according to court documents filed in several states in the United States.
Some beer drinkers are no longer saying: “This Bud’s for you”, however, they are suing Budweiser for the sale of water in their beer. They allege that Anheuser-Busch is intentionally diluting beer and mislabeling the alcohol content.
According to press reports, beer drinkers in the U.S. have filed a $5 million lawsuit accusing Anheuser-Busch of diluting their your beer.
The lawsuits were filed in California, Pennsylvania and other states. The plaintiffs allege that that they were misled about the alcohol content as described in the labeling of the beer.
According to the press reports, the lawsuit includes 10 beers from Anheuser-Busch, including Budweiser and Michelob.
Anheuser-Busch InBev is calling the allegations totally false and said in a statement that their beers are in full compliance with labeling laws.
