Now, the ultra-Orthodox Jewish famous singer, Lipa Schmeltzer, showed wedding guests that he too can dance Gangnam Style.
Schmeltzer has caused a lot of controversy by singing non-Jewish parody songs. Many ultra-Orthodox Jewish rabbi’s have banned their followers from listing to Schmeltzer’s music.
Now, he not only sings the Gangnam Style song but he knows the moves perfectly well.
“Gangnam Style” became very popular. The first “Gangnam Style” video was released by South Korean musician PSY.
As of January 2013, the music video has been viewed over one billion times and is Youtube’s most watched video.
“Gangnam Style” was recognized by the
Guinness World Records as the most “liked” video in YouTube history. It subsequently won Best Video at the MTV Europe Music Awards.
“Gangnam” is an area in South Korea, specifically a small area in Seoul, South Korea. In recent years Gangnam became famous for its wealthy residence.
“Gangnam Style” refers to the “new money”, wealthy culture and lifestyle that has sprung up around the South Korean region.
