(Scroll down for video) Shopping with kids is never easy, as they get restless after a while.

One family in Wrightsville, Georgia, were shopping at the local Dollar General, when their son became a bit unruly.

An employee became annoyed with the boy, so she beat him with a belt.

According to eight-year Logan Ivey, the employee “called him a demon,” to which he replied “I’ll show you bad.” The boy proceeded to throw a cookie at the 39-year-old employee, Emilia Graciela Bell.
Thats when Bell took off her belt and beat the eight-year-old boy.

The family called police. After police officers reviewed surveillance footage that captured the attack, the employee at the dollar store was arrested.

Bell, has also been dismissed from her position at the Dollar General store.

Although authorities have not yet released the video showing Bell hitting the boy, police confirmed that the employee beat the boy with a belt approximately 25 times.

“I felt like five needles got stuck in me. It hurt me a lot,” Ivey said.

After the incident, Dollar General, issued a statement:

“We are deeply shocked and saddened by the incident reported at our store in Wrightsville, Georgia. We have expressed our sincere apologies to the family of the child.

The type of behavior described in this incident is unacceptable and the person involved in the incident is no longer an employee of Dollar General.”

Bell was charged with aggravated assault and cruelty to a child.
