(Scroll down for video) When things look bleak, don’t give up, it might just be the beginning of something good, as it turned out for one dog owner.
Steve Hughes, of Utah, stopped at a gas station near Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. After he filled up his tank, he tried to get back into his truck and he couldn’t get in. His dog, a 1-year-old miniature pincher named Stella, had locked the door and his keys were in the truck.
Hughes tried to open the door, but after a while with no luck of unlocking his door, Hughes took a break.
Hughes went into the gas station shop and he decided to buy for himself and his co-workers the weekly lottery tickets. To his shock, they all won one million dollars from the tickets he bought that day.
The group of 34, takes care of the heating and air conditioning systems at the University of Utah, in Salt Lake City.
The group played the exact same series of numbers every month for the past 12 years. Now, they finally won, thanks to the disobedient dog who locked his owner out if the truck.
The group rented a bus to go to Idaho, to pick up their winnings. They will each receive $20,000 after taxes.
