US Postal Service launches clothing line to boost sales

(Scroll down for video) In these times, where technology has changed the way of sending mail, the U.S. Postal Service is struggling and trying to stay afloat.

One way of coping with the decreasing amount of mail being sent, was by creating their own “all weather” clothing line, with the main focus on winter gear.
The name they chose for the clothing line is “Rain Heat & Snow,” as their gear will keep you warm in all weather conditions.

The U.S. Postal Service, has partnered with a fashion company in Cleveland, Ohio, as the U.S. Postal Service will receive a percentage of all sales.

The all weather gear will include coats, hats, jackets and shoes. Their clothing will feature sweat absorbing technology. Clothing for women will be released at a later date.

The US Postal Service, requires a boost of revenue after they lost a reported $1.3 billion last year, due to a decline in the volume mail being sent. Consequently, 500 offices were closed and about 9,000 employees were switched to part-time employees without benefits.
