A 76-year-old, had to register as a sex offender after he walked out of his house naked.
Michael Charles Shaw, of Millom, Cumbria, United Kingdom, will be subject to five years of supervision and he is now officially called a sex offender.
Shaw told police that he took a shower and then decided to go out to paint his garden gates and he did not think that anyone will see him in his private yard.
Prosecutor Pam Ward said that a man who was walking his dog saw Shaw, and was shocked as there were children playing in the street.
At the trial, the court heard that Shaw had eight previous convictions for sexual exposure that go as far back as December 1970. The prosecutor said that Shaw, admitted to having sexual gratification from walking around naked, but not by being seen by others.
At the sentencing, the judge told Shaw, that he is forbidden to be naked in any part of his property where it could be seen by the public and that he was not to be nude in a public place or wearing less than one item of clothing, other than for a medical examination.
He has to do 36 months of community service, register as a sex offender and pay fines.
