(Scroll down for video) A woman thought she could get away with murder after telling police that her baby died from falling off a couch.

Now, Ruby Klokow, was given a plea deal of 45 days in jail and 10 years probation for killing her baby girl.

Klokow had a lot of kids at a relatively young age and was not happy in her marriage. There was a lot of drinking going on and she had a temper.

All her issues caused her to let out her anger on her innocent children. The abuse was so bad that she actually killed her 6-month-old baby, according to court proceedings.

Klokow, was charged with second-degree murder for the death of her 6-month-old daughter, Jeaneen, just after her son James Jr. Klokow, came forward with horrific stories of child abuse.

It took 56 years for James Jr. Klokow, to muster up the courage to report his mother and talk about abuse he and his siblings suffered at the hands of their mother.

6-month-old Jeaneen was killed in 1957. At the time of her death, the autopsy revealed she had suffered two brain hemorrhages, a partially collapsed lung and three scalp bruises.

At a preliminary hearing five decades later, a forensic pathologist who reviewed the documents in the case stated that the severity of the injuries were not consistent with Klokow’s explanation of her daughter’s death.

Klokow, from Wisconsin, who is now 76-years-old, will serve 45 days in jail and 10 years probation under a plea agreement.

Judge Angela Sutkiewicz agreed to the sentence because of Klokow’s age and health issues, District Attorney Joe De Cecco said.

The district Attorney couldn’t drop the charges to a lesser crime such as manslaughter, because the statute of limitations.

Her attorney, Kirk Obear, said he thought the case against Klokow was unfair. “There were witnesses who could have been interviewed who are long dead,” he said.

Sadly, 6-month-old Jeaneen, was not the only child who died in the care of her abusive mother. Scott Klokow, another son of Klokow, was found dead in his crib seven years after Jeaneen died. No charges have been filed in his death.

Klokow, admitted to abusing her son when he was about five-years-old, she made him stand in a corner with a paper bag on his head while she hit each of his toes with a hammer, according to press reports.
