Palestinian children will begin receiving fantastic state of the art medical care after an Israeli hospital and a church joined forces to help those children, according to press reports in the United States.
The Israeli hospital near Tel Aviv has been associated with the Living Bread International Church, in providing medical care to children in Gaza and in the West Bank. The church based in Jerusalem and the Assaf Harofeh Medical Center is calling the project “Rescue A Child”.
Israeli and Palestinian authorities have approved the project coordination and transfer of patients from Gaza and the West Bank to Israel for treatment. “It’s a great move to reach out in love and compassion to the children, who are in a state of despair. It is a Godly act for a church and a Jewish hospital to show love to the enemies of Israel at this time,” Karen Dunham, director of Living Bread International Church, said. Dunham has been called as “the Mother Teresa of Israel.”
“I think as an Israeli citizen, we always have the right to defend ourselves against any aggression. However, we will always extend our hand for peace and compassion to the suffering of children,” Aharon Cholow, director of international resources for friends of Assaf Harofeh, said.
