Arkansas police have arrested the woman on DWI charges after she allegedly tried to flee the scene of a car accident in a children’s toy truck.
Initially, the 29-year-old Jamie Jeanette Craft, crashed into a mobile home with her Pontiac Grand Am. However, the local television news station reported that Craft then tried to drive away from the scene in a very different vehicle. The woman was seen by police driving a children’s Fisher-Price toy car.
The Fisher-Price Power Wheels vehicles are made to look like real life, adults vehicles, including a Ford Mustang and a Jeep Wrangler. However, some models are purely imaginative, including a model that is built to resemble the “Lightning McQueen” character in the Pixar film “Cars”.
When the owner of the mobile home went outside after checking on her grandchildren she saw Craft sitting in the toy truck , trying to drive.
Power Wheels models, like the Ford F150 truck can reach speeds up to 5 mph. Fast enough to keep the kids entertained, but a little slow for an efficient high-speed getaway.
Police described Craft as “angry and very intoxicated” when they arrived, according to a report by Officer Scott Byrd.
Craft faces several charges, including public intoxication and disorderly conduct.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
