(Scroll down for video) An elderly Florida woman was pushed off a train by a Florida security guard after she was singing, according to video uploaded to the internet.
Now, the mayor of Miami-Dade has apologized to the 82-year-old woman, who was ejected from a Metrorail train.
A local Florida newspaper reported that Emma Anderson was singing hymns and making noise on the train one day last month when she ignored the warning of a security guard to be quiet.
A cell phone video taken by a passenger showed the guard physically removing Anderson from the train. Anderson fell while fighting with the guard.
Mayor Carlos Gimenez apologized to Anderson this week.
Miami-Dade Transit also issued a statement saying that the county rules prohibit anyone from singing, dancing or play a musical instrument, unless they have a business permit. Transit spokesperson Karla Damian said that Anderson’s singing was disturbing other passengers.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
