(Scroll down for video) A woman was arrested and charged with murder related charges after she pushed her husband out from a window, killing him. She then blamed the window’s thin glass for the reason her husband is now dead, according to police reports in Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma woman confessed to police to pushing her husband out from a highrise window but said she never intended to kill her man.

Instead, Amber Michelle Hilberling, 21, laments that the glass of the window of her apartment was not strong enough to stop Joshua Hilberling, her 23-year-old veteran of the Air Force husband, from plummeting 17 floors to his death.

The woman also sued University Club Tower in Tulsa for alleged negligence resulting from the dangerously unsafe glass.
The statement by her defense counsel made clear that Amber Hilberling will claim self-defense as justification for pushing Joshua Hilberling.

The court heard several witnesses Wednesday during the first week of the second-degree murder trial. The testimony painted a picture of Amber Hilberling, who was pregnant during the incident, as hysterical and distraught.

“My husband fell out the window! I pushed my husband out of the window! I killed my husband,” she reportedly shouted after his death.

Armando Rosales, a glass repairman, went to the apartment after hearing the glass shatter. Amber Hilberling’s claim about the glass was confirmed to the court.

The glass was allegedly part of the original construction of the building and would have been thicker if built more recently. It was not much stronger than the glass used in the standard home windows, Rosales said.
Rosales also told the jury he feared Amber Hilberling would push him through the broken window after entering the apartment.

The jury found the woman guilty of second degree murder.
