A U.S. school has ordered its students to stop using deodorant spray because of all the bad smells, according to press reports in the United States.
The Pennsylvania high school ordered its students to cut down the body spray.
Freedom High School in Bethlehem, said that one of its students was recently taken to a hospital after being exposed to Axe Body Spray. Now, authorities are asking students to stop using it as a cologne or perfume while attending school.
Unilever, which makes Axe, said it is investigating the report. The company said in a statement that the safety and welfare of users “is always our first priority” and consumers with concerns should call the toll-free number on the back of the package.
School officials said that the student concerned is very allergic to the spray. It was not immediately clear what chemical caused the allergic reaction in the student.
