An Israeli West Bank city has named a neighborhood after Jonathan Pollard, according to press reports in Israel.
Signs of support for the release of Jonathan Pollard is increasing throughout Israel. On Wednesday morning, the city of Karmei Tzur in the West Bank named a new district after Pollard.
The neighborhood is called Tzur Yonatan.
Gush Etzion Regional Council head Davidi Perl attended a celebration in honor of the new district. Israeli Knesset Member, Shuli Moalem for Bayit Yehudi was also at the celebration.
“We are all part of the struggle to bring Jonathan Pollard back to Israel,” Perl said. “We all pray for him every Shabbat, and came to the conclusion that now, as President Obama is here, we must raise our voices and say, ‘Let Jonathan come home.'”
