(Scroll down for video) A family is grateful to a stranger who saved their daughter’s life after she passed out during a shopping trip.
The stranger saved the life of the little girl in an Australian supermarket.
Amy Collard was shopping on Sunday when her two-year-old daughter, Shaylar, suddenly lost consciousness and stopped breathing.
Collard ran with the lifeless body of her daughter to the front of the store and begged other shoppers for help in saving her daughter, CCTV footage of the supermarket showed.
A couple can be seen helping the girl. They turned the girls head down and tried to revive her, while Collard ran to look for her husband. The girl’s father, Michael Narkle, ran into the store. He is see breaking down after he saw his daughter’s lifeless body.
The situation seems hopeless as numerous attempts to save the girl failed. Rowan O’Neill, jumped into action. He did CPR on the girl who was lying on the checkout counter. Incredibly, the girl opened her eyes.
Shoppers in the store cried and hugged each other after they witnessed the dramatic incident.
The child’s parents are very grateful to O’Neill for saving the life of their daughter. “I thought she was going to die,” Collard said. “I’m lucky he was there,” he added.
The girl was taken to the hospital where she spent the night. She is back home and in good health.
