A 79-year-old woman was charged after she crashed into a Target store.

Norma Joan Brennan, was on track to get her driver’s license restored Thursday, when she crashed through the front doors of a Target store in Ocala, Florida.

Reverend Kevin Holsapple, owner of the car told police he was giving Brennan driving tips in the Target parking lot when the woman accidently pressed the gas pedal instead of the brake, according local press reports.

Brennan had a driver’s license for 50 years before it was suspended due to a medical condition. On Thursday, Brennan and Holsapple planned to go to the Department of Motor Vehicle so she could get her driver’s licence back.

“It is not easy to be without your own car, and having to depend on other people to drive you around. It must be especially hard for someone who had a car for 50 years,” Teniqua Williams, 40, of Miami, Florida told YourJewishNews.com after hearing about the car crash at the Target store.

Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident. Brennan received a citation for driving with a suspended license, and the pastor was cited for allowing an unlicensed driver to drive his vehicle.
