(Scroll down for video) Never give up hope for love, as one woman who is 106-years-old, proved that one is never too old to find the love of their life.
Marjorie Hemmerde is dating a man 33 years younger, who she met in a nursing home.
Hemmerde is 106-years-old and her boyfriend, Gavin Crawford, is 73-years-old. The two have managed to find love despite their age difference. They met three years ago in Kew Gardens, a nursing home in Australia, and are now inseparable.”We just kind of melted into each other,” she said. “We get along like old friends, the age difference does not seem to matter,” she said.
Neither of them were ever married, they said that true love was worth the wait. “Marjorie is very active and has a good outlook on life,” Crawford said about his lover.
So far, there are no marriage plans in sight for the couple. If they change their mind and get married, Crawford and Hemmerde have much work to catch up with the oldest married couple who made it into the Guinness World Records.
Guinness World Records for the oldest married couple is held by Karl Dolven Haug, and his wife Gudren, who were a combined 210 years and 65 days old, when she died in April, 2004.
“Hemmerde, should make it into the Guinness World Record for the world oldest cougar, it is sweet that she found love. I wish them happiness for the rest of their lives,” Debbie Garcia, 30, of Omaha, Nebraska told YourJewishNews.com after hearing about the elderly couple who found love.
