(Scroll down for video) A man was arrested and charged with murder related charges after his phone accidentally pocket dialed police while he was discussing a recent killing, according to a statement released by police in Florida.
Authorities in South Florida said the man was charged with murder because they overheard him talking about the killing when his cell phone pocket-dialed 911.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office said that 24-year-old Scott Simon is charged with first-degree murder in the shooting death of 33-year-old Nicholas Walker. Walker was killed while driving his car on I-95 at an exit ramp.
Authorities said that Simon was heard on the 911 call saying that he is going to follow the victim to his house and kill him, but investigators said they believe Simon coordinated the murder and did not pull the trigger himself.
The shooting occurred after Walker got into an argument with other men in a Waffle House restaurant. Authorities are still looking for two other suspects.
“Police caught a lucky break in the case and nailed this animal. Soon, he will rot in jail where he belongs,” Regina Jordan, 32, of Miami Beach, Florida told YourJewishNews.com after being asked to comment on Simon’s arrest.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
