Of the two suspects, one was arrested early last month while the other man remained at large.
Now, authorities in southeast Georgia said the second man has been arrested in the attack that left a domestic pig, with 23 stab wounds.
Effingham County Sheriff Spokesperson David Ehsanipoor said that 52-year-old Clyde McFearin, of Springfield, was arrested Wednesday on charges of aggravated animal cruelty and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
A 23-year-old man, who was accused of unleashing two pit bulls on a pigs and stabbing it 23 times, was arrested in earlier. The pig miraculously survived.
Ehsanipoor said investigators determined one of the dogs involved in the attack belonged to McFearin. Police said the pig was attacked in an unprovoked attack after wandering into the suspect’s mobile home.
McFearin has been taken to the Effingham County Jail.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
