(Scroll down for video) A boy was left totally embarrassed after being named “home run Hitler” in a school yearbook, according to photos uploaded to the internet.
An advertisement that was supposed to bring joy to a graduating senior, the family of a baseball player unearthed a photo of him playing for his Little League All-Star team.
The shot is pretty discreet, with the nameless player in question running around the bases with a pair of nice black eye patches, while a member of the opposing team is seen with his hands on his head in anguish. It’s definitely a nice memory of a moment of glory.
Only one problem: The phrase the family used in order to honor the boy, had a small mistake in it. Instead of “Congratulations to our Home Run Hitter” as the family clearly intended to write, it read “Home Run Hitler.”
It seems unlikely that this is a white supremacist baseball family. Rather, it seems that the family did not use the proper spell check tools.
While it is impossible to know precisely where the shot came from, it was brought to the public’s attention after the photos were posted on popular social media websites. From the looks of the uniform facade, it seems that the player used to compete as part of the El Segundo Little League in California.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
