A man under house arrest was jailed after begging police to end his misery.
The man told police he rather spend his time in jail rather than under house arrest because he is sick of playing Xbox, according to court proceedings in New Zealand.
The convicted criminal in Whangarei had one month left to complete his sentence of 11 months house arrest when he asked police if he could be thrown in jail instead.
Senior Constable Paul Nicholas said the man had “run out of Xbox games to play.”
He accepted the request of the 19-year-old, and now he is in prison in Ngawha.
