Police said that a 57-year-old Michigan man was reportedly killed by his 45-year-old nephew on Monday after the two argued over control of a television set, according to the Sheriff’s Office of Oakland County.
The alleged murderer called police to tell authorities about the incident.
When authorities arrived on the scene in Pontiac, which is about 25 miles northwest of Detroit, they saw the 45-year-old man performing CPR on his uncle, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said they believe that after a fight broke out over the television remote control, the nephew strangled his uncle until he fell unconscious. Specific details of the argument were not disclosed.
The suspect was arrested and taken to the Oakland County Jail. The county coroner is performing an autopsy on the deceased.Mobile video not loading? Click here to view
