The popular U.S. children’s clothing retailer “The Children’s Place” announced that it plans to open branch locations across Israel.
“The Children’s Place”, a one-stop shop for children’s clothing, is adding Israel locations to the list that includes about 1,100 stores worldwide.
The Israeli “Fox” clothing retailer signed a franchise agreement with the company in New Jersey, last week, despite the fact that it will be competing against itself as “Fox” stores also sell children’s clothing.
Fox CEO Harel Weisel said he prefered that “The Children’s Place” should compete inside his own stores rather than in someone else’s stores.
The Children’s Place was incorporated in 1969 and employs approximately 6,000 people. The Children’s Place website already offers a comfortable shopping experience for Israeli consumers, and it even offers free shipping to Israel on orders above $100, or 360 shekels.
