(Scroll down for video) A Police department is under fire after they sent police officers’ bra sizes to the entire force.

The female police officers at the Detroit Police Department were mortified when they received the email, which included their bra sizes.

The mass email was sent out in order to notify all officers that their bullet proof vests were ready. When ordering new bulletproof vests officers had to give their measurements including height, weight and bra cup size.

The mistake happened when Commander Dwayne Love sent an email to notify everyone that the vests were ready. He did not realize that on the third page of the Excel sheet was the measurements of all women.

It is an embarrassment, but it was a clerical error,” Assistant Chief James White said.
Several female officers said they had been ridiculed by fellow officers because of this mistake.

The female officers with the help of the union will be filing two grievances against the department. Even if Love made an innocent mistake, the damage has already been done.

Detroit Police Department’s assistant chief James White and Commander Dwayne Love, will meet with the humiliated female officers in order to apologize and “assure them that it will never happen again.”
