A man was beaten after he refused to sell an alcoholic beverage to an apparently drunk man, according to police reports in Hawaii.
Hawaii Police said that an intoxicated man allegedly punched a store clerk in the face because he refused to sell alcoholic beverages.
Police said the 26-year-old man, whose name was not released, was angry at a Waianae liquor store employee around 3:30 pm on Saturday, because the employee refused to sell him liquor.
Investigators said the man struck the employee, left the store and returned with a dangerous instrument.
The man threatened the employee and damaged an ATM inside the store before leaving.
Police said they arrested the man about 4:20 pm on suspicion of first-degree criminal property damage, making terroristic threats in the fourth degree and assault in the third degree.
