(Scroll down for video) A couple was arrested and charged with assault related charges after they allegedly beat a Dunkin’ Donuts employee for serving them the wrong coffee, according to police reports in Florida.
Lauderhill Police arrested a local couple after they pistol whipped an employee at a Dunkin’ Donuts on Tuesday.
Arrested were Jeffrey Wright, 27, who was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and his wife, Alexis Longo, 22, who was charged with simple assault.
The lunchtime brawl over the wrong coffee order was captured by restaurant surveillance cameras. It began at about 1:00 pm when the couple went through the drive-thru and placed their order.
After Longo discovered that her coffee was wrong, Wright and his wife parked their car and walked into the Dunkin’ Donuts located at 7125 West Oakland Park Boulevard in Lauderhill, according to a police report.
The two asked to speak to the manager, but before the manager could arrive an argument between the couple and the person who took their order broke out.
Longo tried to hit the employee. Her husband jumped in and a melee broke out near the front door.
Other customers tried to break up the fight, the video shows. Amid the fighting, Wright pulled out a handgun and began pistol-whipping the employee in the head.
Lauderhill police arrived and arrested the couple.
Wright is a security guard and has a concealed weapons permit, police said.
His bail was set at $20,000, while Longo’s bail was set at $1,000.
