(Scroll down for video) A woman, who had a funeral and was buried, mysteriously showed up alive thirteen days later, according to Pennsylvania officials.

Thirteen days after her family thought they had put her to rest, Sharolyn Jackson appeared again.

The Jackson family held a service on August 3 after the Philadelphia medical examiner signed her death certificate and produced a body believed to be Jackson. She was later buried.

On Friday, August 16, the 50-year-old was identified in a mental health center.
“You know that feeling of getting over the fact that she’s dead, but then her son Travis comes here with the good news that she is alive,” the father of Jackson, Dave Minnie, said.

Now, a mystery hangs over the identity of the buried woman, whose body was found dead of natural causes in a street in Western Philadelphia on July 20, two days after Jackson was reported missing.

Both, Jackson’s son and a social worker, who knew the missing woman, positively identified photos of the deceased woman as Jackson, allowing a death certificate to be issued and funeral arrangements to be made.

It is expected that city officials will seek an order to exhume the unknown body in order for it to be identified.

While Jackson’s family members are delighted that she is alive, they expressed sympathy for the family of the unknown buried woman.
