(Scroll down for video) A company is targeting the Israeli market to sell its new bomb-proof backpacks.

The backpack is the ultimate back to school gift for pessimistic parents, as the backpack can protect children and adults from a bomb blast.

However, there is only one problem, while the backpack protects all vital organs, it offers no such sanctuary for limbs, which could be a deal breaker for some potential buyers.

Despite this, the designer, Hila Raam, 27, who is targeting the Israeli market, described the backpack an “innovative product”. She believes that there is significant potential for the backpack, which weighs just over five pounds.

She said the backpack has been designed to act as a basic personal bomb shelter in case of an emergency or terror attack.

Carriers only have to pull the side straps of the bag and the yellow ropes if they hear an air raid siren, and lie down on the floor.

The backpack, which costs around 300 pounds, then fully protect the brain, heart, liver and kidneys, of the effects and consequences of an explosion, with its special 19 layers of Kevlar fabric at its core.
