(Scroll down for video) KFC, also known as Kentucky Fried Chicken, will now be adding cool hand-held ice cream makers to kids meals in some areas.

With so many restaurants out there, and a lot of competitors fighting for the same consumers, every business owner is looking for ways to get customers through their door.

KFC in Japan is offering movie themed, kids friendly hand ice cream makers with the purchase of select combo meals. This will definitely bring in kids with a sweet tooth.

This new hand ice cream maker appeals to children because it has well-known Japanese characters printed on it. The characters are known as One Piece, which is a long-running anime and manga series in Japan that focuses around the pirate, Luffy, on his quest for the legendary treasure known as One Piece and his attempt to become the Pirate King.

The show has been around since 1997 and is still going strong. Kids still love the show. KFC will be offering three different characters on the ice cream maker: two featuring one of the main characters from the series, Luffy and Chopper, and one featuring the pirate crew upon which the series focuses on.

The easy to use ice cream maker can easily be taken along wherever the child goes. For now, the product will be available with combo meals only in Japan.

Although 1000s of children in the U.S. go to KFC in order to purchase kids meals every day, the children will have to wait until advocacy groups stop bullying restaurant owners to avoid giving away free and fun toys.
