A man was arrested at an upscale East Hampton New York vacation home on allegations of rape.
Jason Lee, 37, who is the managing director for the Goldman Sachs Group that handles initial public offerings, has been arrested on charges of raping a 20-year-old woman during a nude pool party.
Lee is a senior banker with Goldman Sachs and worked at the investment bank’s headquarters at 200 West Street in Lower Manhattan since 1998.
The party was being held at a four-bedroom $33,000 a month, mansion in the Hamptons, where Lee and his wife Alicia had rented for the summer. It is alleged that Lee raped the woman inside the house in East Hampton, Long Island, New York, during a nude pool party.
At his court hearing in East Hampton, which was attended by Lee’s wife and several members of his family, Lee pleaded not guilty to the charges.
His lawyer Edward Burke said his client is innocent and is looking forward to clearing his name.
Lee was placed on leave from his job at Goldman Sachs following his arrest.
Lee was released after posting $20,000 bond in cash.
