Dogs are said to be man’s best friend.
However, one man can question the loyalty of his best friend after his dog dialed police, which eventually led to his arrest.
A dog in Ontario, Canada, was playing with a phone when it dialed police. Ontario Provincial Police received a 911 call at 10:30 am, but the phone went dead. Police officers, who were afraid that someone might be in need of medical attention, traced the call and went to the caller’s house.
The homeowner was surprised when officers arrived. After a short investigation, the homeowner realized that his four-month-old puppy was playing with the phone and had dialed the police by accident.
Adorable, but the police conducted a criminal background check of the homeowner and discovered that the man was wanted on a warrant for failure to appear in court earlier this year.
The man was arrested and taken to the headquarters of the Belleville Police.
In a press release about the arrest, police suggested the dog may be an “up and coming police K-9 dog.”
