A woman was arrested after hitting her husband over her daughter’s used tampon.
A fight over a used tampon, which was found on the floor, caused a Florida mother to be jailed.
According to police reports, Cortteza Liandra Sellers, 32, was at home when her husband saw a used tampon on the floor.
It was established that the tampon belonged to their 17-year-old daughter.
The husband then asked his wife to speak with their daughter about the “unhealthy nature of leaving used tampons lying around.” The discussion turned into a heated argument, Manatee County Sheriff’s Office deputy said.
The dispute between Sellers and her husband became escalated into “a shoving match.” Sellers allegedly scratched her husband on the side of his face making him bleed, police said.
Deputies determined that Sellers was the “primary aggressor” during the confrontation. As a result, she was arrested and booked into the Manatee County Jail on charges of domestic battery.
