(Scroll down for video) A Florida man is accused of luring a 9-year-old girl into the toilet at a Best Buy.
Once inside, he covered her face with a plastic bag and shoved her face into the toilet bowl.
James Patrick Tadros, 29, was arrested by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office in Florida and was charged with attempted murder, false imprisonment and criminal mischief.
Tadros is accused of luring the girl away from her mother at a Best Buy store near the Avenues Mall and attacking her in the ladies room. Video surveillance caught him forcing the girl into the bathroom.
Fortunately, another customer heard a commotion coming from the bathroom stall and alerted a store employee.
The employee went to the bathroom and asked if anyone needed help. There was a mumbled response, and when the employee looked under the door he was shocked to find Tadros holding the girl’s head in the toilet bowl.
Employees detained him until police arrived. The victim told police she did not know Tadros, who kicked and beat her, and put a plastic bag over her head before shoving her head into the toilet bowl.
Sergeant Jay Farhat said if the customer hadn’t alerted employees the girl would have been dead. Officers believe that the girl was not sexually abused, but further test will be taken to confirm it.
