A woman got a taste of her own medicine when her partner in crime stole jewelry from her house.
Three people were caught with stolen goods. One of the suspects was 40-year-old Marianne Dolleman.
When police unloaded the stolen goods, Dolleman was shocked to find her own jewelry among the stolen items.
It all started when police received reports of two burglaries in Venice, Florida.
Among the items stolen were $1,400 worth of fishing rods and reels. While driving around the area, deputies found a vehicle driving with several fishing rods sticking out of the window, according to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office of Sarasota County.
After stopping the vehicle, deputies spoke with 40-year-old Dolleman, who was driving the vehicle. She told deputies that the passengers, Steven Albert Scott, 25, and, Kayla Masek, 22, were paying her to drive them around so Scott could sell the goods.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies found power tools that were stolen from another house in the area. The also found two drug pipes, and a syringe that tested positive for opiates. But the most surprising find were two bracelets, which the driver recognized as her own.
Scott is accused of stealing the Jewelry from Dolleman’s house earlier that night, according to police.
All three were arrested. The three are well-known throughout the justice system. Altogether, they have a history of 35 arrests.
Dolleman was charged for dealing with stolen goods. Masek was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, and Scott was charged with four counts of burglary.
