(Scroll down for video) A former teacher, who was recently dismissed, was found dead after publishing a suicide note on Facebook, according to police reports in Pennsylvania.

The former Pennsylvania high school teacher has posted a detailed suicide note describing the loss of his work and the desire to get out of this terrible world on Facebook.

Christopher Swanson, 41, was found dead on Friday morning in front of a fountain on the Mercyhurst Campus University in Erie.

He was a former science teacher at Smethport, a small town about 100 miles southeast of Erie.

Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook said that the teacher’s death was a result of self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The coroner’s office estimated that the shooting occurred between 2:00 am to 4:00 am on Saturday.

The teacher’s Facebook message read:

“I’ll kill myself. I’ll shoot myself in the head with an 1891 Argentine Mauser rifle that I inherited from my grandfather. I was hoping this gun would be something I would pass on to my children, along with stories about my grandfather, but I ‘m going to kill myself with it instead. I cannot justify existing in this horrible world, this vile despicable world where it is impossible for me to be happy.”

On the website, there was a series of alleged reasons for suicide. Each is known as a “trigger”.
College President Tom Gamble addressed the incident in a letter posted on Twitter on Friday.

“Our prayers are with the deceased and his family. Counseling and prayer services will be held soon. Please remain calm and respectful,” Gamble said.
