Norman Police said that a local criminal, who likes to wear a wig, sunglasses and women’s clothes, robbed two banks in Oklahoma.
John Paul Matthews, 44, is accused of stealing the Republic Bank and Trust in Norman on Monday night, wearing a feminine disguise, and was arrested on Tuesday, by both the FBI and local police.
He is also suspected of swiping money from another bank in Norman on September 27.
The man dressed as a woman came to the window of the bank at 6:55 pm on Monday night, and passed a note demanding money. He also alerted bank employees that he had a gun.
The teller gave him the money quickly and according to witnesses, the bank robber sped away from the scene in a white Cadillac.
One of the witnesses was able to record the vehicle license plate number, helping authorities track down the alleged thief on Classen Boulevard.
Matthews was expected to appear in court later on Tuesday, and will likely be charged in two robberies.
