|Arab man wielding a knife|
(Scroll down for video) Police are looking to arrest and charge an Arab man with assault after allegedly threatening Egged bus passengers with a knife and cutting off hair from one man, according to video uploaded to the Internet.
The Israeli military said that a Palestinian Authority man held an Orthodox Jewish passenger at knifepoint before escaping near the Israeli city of Beitar Illit, at 8:00 p.m. on Sunday night.
The suspect boarded Egged bus route number 148 in Beit Shemesh. As the bus approached a military checkpoint, he demanded that the bus driver stop and let him off the bus.
The driver refused his request as it is illegal to make an unscheduled stop along the route. That is when the man pulled a knife and held it at a passenger's throat.
At that point, the driver decided to let the man off the bus. The man fled from the scene, but not before cutting off some hair from a Haredi man on the bus.
