A technology worker announced to the world that he is very depressed because he is earning too much money from his job.
Now, the disgruntled computer programmer quit his job after complaining to his bosses that they were paying him too much.
While the most common complaints of disgruntled employees usually are that the wages are too low, worker Sandeep Jia left his $750 a month job for the opposite reason.
“I was depressed, and finally, I decided to solve the problem by leaving and find a different job,” he said.
The 32-year-old repeatedly asked for a pay cut as his wealth made him feel “guilty” when others in Bangalore, India, lived in poverty.
However, when his request for a lower wage was repeatedly ignored by his bosses, he decided to resign.
Psychologists believe that guilt is a growing problem in the country where there is great disparity in wealth between the poor and rich.
More than 844 million people in India, live below the poverty line, according to the World Health Organization, about 80 percent of the country’s population.
