(Scroll down for video) A man was finally caught and charged with killing his wife, according to police reports in New York.
The man from upstate New York has been charged with murder in the 1979 killing of his wife, who was stabbed 108 times and was dumped in a Buffalo-area cemetery.
Michael Rodriguez pleaded not guilty at his arraignment on a charge of second-degree murder in State Supreme Court on Wednesday.
The body of 21-year-old Patricia Rodriguez was found in April 1979, in a Lackawanna cemetery. She was last seen leaving a bar with Rodriguez, her former husband.
New York State Police reopened the case in 2009 at the request of the Lackawanna Police.
Prosecutors said that the request was based in part on DNA evidence from the victim’s clothing.
A judge ordered Michael Rodriguez provide a DNA sample to police.
