Two men arrested for giving free hugs

(Scroll down for video) Two men were arrested and charged with engaging in exotic behavior after giving out free hugs, according to police reports in Saudi Arabia.

The man decided to offer free hugs in the Saudi capital of Riyadh, after being inspired by a charity movement.

Abdulrahman al-Khayyal went out with a friend wearing a sign that read: “Free Hug.” However, they were quickly arrested by the religious police.

The 21-year-old al-Khayyal and his friend, also announced on Twitter that he would offer free hugs in Tahliya, one of the main shopping streets.

However, the two men were arrested and their banners were seized.

Members of the Commission for Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice, arrested the two men in Riyadh, for violating local laws and for the participation in exotic practices. They were forced to sign a pledge that they would not give out free hugs again.
