Teen parents were arrested and charged with endangering their child after allegedly forcing their child to smoke marijuana, according to police reports in New York.
Chautauqua County Sheriff deputies said that two Mayville teen parents have been accused of forcing their 2-year-old son to smoke marijuana.
The boy’s mother, Jessica Kelsey, 17, father, George Kelsey, 18, and Jessica’s father, Don Baker, 54, of South Erie Street, were charged with second-degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child, authorities said.
The incident allegedly occurred in the family apartment, when the three adults helped and encouraged the 2-year-old boy to smoke marijuana.
The case was investigated by the Office of the Chautauqua County Sheriff, District Attorney and the Department of Child Protection.
The three were arrested on warrants and processed in Chautauqua Town Court.
They are being held in lieu of $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond.
The child and his sibling are in the care of Child Protective Services.
