New video showing goats screaming like humans goes viral

Goat screaming like human
By: Moses Gold

(Scroll down for video) Who said that animals can’t talk or act like humans? Someone has put together quite a long video of goats screaming just like humans do, according to video uploaded to the internet. Needless to say, the video went viral around the world pretty fast.

Screaming is not the only thing that animals can do like humans. Recently, we wrote about a dog who seems to be gay.
In a shocking case which angered many people, a dog owner decided that his dog does not deserve to live because the dog was “gay.”

According to reports, the owner claimed that the dog was seen repeatedly “bent over” another male dog, therefore, in the mind of the owner, the dog is gay.

The owner apparently did not know that a dog’s being "bent over" or humping behavior is often a sign of dominance in dogs, rather than something to indicate the sexual orientation of a dog.

The dog owner, who lives in Tennessee, took the dog to a shelter because he did not want a gay dog. Workers at the overcrowded shelter decided to euthanize the “gay” dog.

One animal rights group in Jackson, Tennessee, tried to find a home for the dog, so they posted the address and phone number of the shelter, resulting in hundreds of phone calls to the shelter. People asked the shelter not to kill the dog until a good home was found.

Luckily, at the last minute, the dog was saved by an animal lover with a good heart. Veterinary Stephanie Fryns rescued the dog. She named it Elton.

A male dog on top of another male dog is not considered conclusive evidence of it being gay, according to reports. Biologists have recorded homosexual activity in over 450 species, including flamingos, bison and beetles.

Gay rights activists have looked as these reports of animal homosexuality as proof that same-sex couples are a natural phenomenon.

West Virginia University professor bans mentioning Fox News

University letter banning Fox News
By: Moses Gold

(Scroll down for video) A West Virginia University professor has ordered students never to mention Fox News, according to press reports in West Virginia.

A curriculum for a course in political science at the University of West Liberty instructs students how to filter through potential sources of research.

According to Fox News, ironically, the curriculum states:

DO NOT use
1) The Onion. This is not news this source is literally a parody.
2) Fox News. The tag line Fox News makes me cringe. Please do not submit me to this biased news channel. I almost prefer you print an article from the Onion.

No other means or research sources, seem to be prohibited. In fact, the professor encouraged students to use news sources such as The New York Times and the BBC.
Stephanie Wolfe, who is the visiting assistant professor behind the ban, has a one-year contract with the university in the northern West Virginia Panhandle. She is replacing another teacher who is on leave.

Upset students and some parents complained to the local press about what they perceived as a forced political bias.
Robin Capehart, who is the president of West Liberty University, appeared to side with Professor Wolfe.

"One of our values in West Liberty is to encourage students to go out and investigate and gather information and see as many different sources as possible on either side, before coming to their conclusion," Capehart told a television news station.

"Any attempt to limit the scope of the student's ability to investigate is obviously something that we have a concern with," he added.

Good Samaritan gets rude comment after returning $1,200 in lost cash

Kyle Osborn
By: Debbie Gross

(Scroll down for video) A Good Samaritan was expecting at least a thank you when returning a lost envelope containing cash but instead he received an extremely rude comment came.

You've heard the saying: "No good deed goes unpunished" and "Never judge a book by its cover." Perhaps there is no better than a recent example of both in what happened to 29-year-old Kyle Osborn.

Osborn owns an auto detailing shop in Harrisonville, Missouri. Last week, he found an envelope with $1,200 in cash on the floor outside Sutherlands. Osborn was looking for the owner of the money, walking around the store to see if he could find someone who had lost something. He found a man who said he had lost the envelope of cash and handed it over to him.

Osborn was surprised by what the man said. "I hope it's all there," the person said. Osborn said that a simple thank you would be nice.

Osborn later published the details of what happened on his facebook page. His message caught the attention of the guys at Sutherlands. They thought the way the man had responded to Osborn’s gesture was so rude that they wanted to make things right. They put together a gift bag of Sutherlands products and a gift card worth $50 for Osborn in reward for his honesty.

Osborn hopes people will learn from his experience and he said: "The fact that someone has a beard, tattoos and is dirty, does not mean they are bad people."

Parents put iPod in toddler's briefcase to record severe teacher abuse

By: Debbie Gross

Parents who were suspecting severe abuse at a daycare put a recording device inside their child’s briefcase which recorded the abuse, according to police reports in Argentina.

The Argentine authorities are investigating the child abuse scandal at a child care after parents put an iPod in their daughter's backpack to record what happened in the school during the day.

What they found was surprising. The iPod recorded teachers screaming, cursing and abusing children who repeatedly became so upset they vomited.

At one point, a teacher threatens to take the child to the bathroom sink if the child continues to cry. The teacher yells, "You want to go to the sink? Then, shut up, shut up!"

Parents said Tuesday that this could explain why their children were suddenly afraid to take baths.
A local newspaper reported that inspectors found that the daycare center was ordered closed down as a daycare operation in 1996 but continued to operate for 17 years despite having registered only as a private party house.

Former Miss Washington Beauty Queen jailed after killing colleague's husband

Peggy Sue Thomas in court
By: John Roberts

(Scroll down for video) A former Miss Washington Beauty Queen was arrested, charged and convicted of killing the husband of her colleague, according to court proceedings in Washington.

Peggy Sue Thomas, the former wife of a millionaire, was sentenced to four years in prison for her role in the murder of the husband of a former colleague.

The former beauty queen accepted a plea agreement last month, a week before she was due to stand trial on a charge of first-degree murder. Thomas pleaded guilty to criminal assistance in the first degree and in exchange for a guilty plea, prosecutors recommended a sentence of four years in jail.

The punishment left the family of Russel Douglas, who was found shot dead in his car, disappointed.
"It seems a mockery of the basic sense of justice that she would be sentenced to four years in prison for the cold and premeditated act which would not have been possible without her participation," the victim's father, Jim Douglas, said in court last week.

Prosecutors said that Thomas and her then boyfriend, James Huden, attracted Douglas to a remote area, so he could shoot Huden.
Douglas was found dead in a car in Freeland, Whidbey Island.

Prosecutors said it could have been a revenge killing, after Huden and Thomas suspected that Douglas was abusing his wife and children.

Last year, Huden was convicted of first-degree murder and was sentenced to 80 years in prison.
The former beauty queen was given an opportunity by the judge on Friday to tell the truth about the murder, but she refused.

Israeli soldiers had treated five Syrians who had been wounded in the fighting between government forces and Syrian rebels near the security fence of Israel in the Golan Heights, the Israeli army said Saturday.

The victims were taken to a hospital inside Israel. The army did not say whether they were combatants or civilians. The army did not disclose the circumstances under which they crossed the Israeli side of the fence, but the Israeli press said that the wounded had come to the area near the fence and the soldiers let them in.

Syrian rebels invaded a military police checkpoint in Khan Arnabeh, a village in the Golan Heights, near the ceasefire line along the demilitarized zone with Israel, a British violence monitoring group, said.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that the rebels seized weapons and an army tank from within the area of the ceasefire between Israel and Syria.

You will not find any mention of the tax refund of $429 million in the financial statements of facebook. In fact, the company said it had a federal tax liability of $559 million in 2012. But that tax debt was not in the form of a cash payment.

In a note, the company also said it had a $1.03 billion excess tax benefit last year in relation to exercising of stock options and other equity awards. That benefit is what flipped the federal tax liability into a huge refund.
